This page contains information on renewal fees for vehicle registration in the Australian Capital Territory.

Note

All registration fees for periods less than 12 months include a $25.75 short term surcharge.  For registration fees for 3 or 6 months or concessional registration fees, please call the enquiry line on 13 22 81.  At the time of paying the registration renewal fee the Compulsory Third Party Insurance (CTPI) component is also collected.  The NRMA is the only provider of Compulsory Third Party Insurance in the ACT.

The weight ranges shown below are the tare weight of the vehicle. The fees shown include registration, compulsory third party insurance premium, road rescue fee and road safety contribution. CTPI premiums are forwarded to the NRMA (fees are subject to change).  

The fees below apply to privately registered vehicles with 0% Income Tax Credit Entitlement (ITCE) and no concessions.
