Difficulty Parking
Information about parking
for people with mobility difficulty in the Australian Capital Territory.
People with Mobility Difficulty can obtain a special permit enabling
them to park free of charge in government operated car parking spaces.
The permit is valid for use in disabled bays, and in meter and ticket parking
spaces for an unlimited period of time, unless the area is designated for a
period of 30 minutes or less where a limit maximum of two hours applies.
However, the permit is not valid for use in other designated parking
spaces such as Loading Zones, Government Vehicle, Medical Practitioner, and
Community Nurse zones.
Doctor and applicant must complete the application form and either
post or attend in person (see postal address below for location).
There is no fee for this type of parking permit.
