| Parking
for Goods Carrying Vehicles
Information about parking goods carrying vehicles in the Australian
Capital Territory
Vehicles that are primarily designed to carry goods, can park in loading zones for the purpose of
loading or unloading only.
Passenger vans, station wagons, hatchbacks and sedans are not
classified as goods carrying vehicles. For an annual fee, a loading zone permit
can be obtained for these vehicles. Three types of permits are available for:
- a 30-minute time period ($516.40 per year);
- a 20-minute time period ($344.30 per year); and
- a 10-minute time period ($163.90 per year)
A free 10-minute loading zone parking permit can be obtained for
station wagons that are registered for business use. Contact Road User Services
for more information.
Applicants must complete the application form and either post with a
cheque or attend in person (see payments below for location).
