Lost
and Stolen Licences
This page contains information on obtaining a replacement driver
licence in the event of a lost or stolen ACT Driver Licence.
If you have lost your licence or it has been stolen you can be issued
with a replacement licence.
To obtain a replacement licence you will need to attend any
ACT Government Shopfront or the
Civic Driver Licence Service. You will be required to:
- show
proof of identity.
- complete a Replacement/Cancellation form
- pay the required fee of $29.00.
If you require a replacement licence due to
your licence being lost or stolen while travelling
interstate or overseas please complete
the following and send the documents back via one
of the following methods:
Please return the following to Road User
Services by post at the address below, by fax to
(02) 6207 7120 or by email to roaduserservices@act.gov.au:
- Application for replacement of driver
licence - completed and signed
- Overseas / interstate mailing address and
contact details
- Signature label - signed
- Photocopy of passport
- Cheque ($AUD29.00) or credit card number and
expiry date (MasterCard or Visa)
Once we have received your completed documents
and payment your licence will be replaced
and forwarded to your nominated interstate/overseas address.
Upon returning to the ACT you can obtain your ACT Driver Licence with an
updated photo by attending any
ACT Government Shopfront with
the required Proof of Identity documents for no charge. For further information regarding Proof of
