Renewing
your driver licence from interstate or overseas
Information about renewing your ACT Driver Licence when you are
temporarily interstate or overseas.
An ACT Driver Licence can be renewed if the driver is temporarily
interstate or overseas and cannot attend any
ACT Government Shopfront
or the
Civic Driver Licence Service.
To renew your licence please return the
following to Road User Services by post at the
address below, by fax to (02) 6207 7120 or by
email to roaduserservices@act.gov.au:
- Application for renewal of driver licence
- completed and signed
- Overseas / interstate mailing address and
contact details
- Signature label - signed
- Photocopy of passport and / or driver
licence
- Cheque ($AUD141.90) or credit card number and
expiry date (Mastercard, Visa or Bankcard)
The above documents should be scanned in the
case of sending via email.
Once we have received your completed documents
and payment, your licence will be renewed
and forwarded to your nominated interstate/overseas address.
Upon returning to the ACT you can obtain your ACT Driver Licence with an
updated photo by attending any
ACT Government Shopfront with
the required Proof of Identity documents for no charge. For further information regarding Proof of
