Information on the proof of identity and residential documents
required to obtain a driver licence in the Australian Capital Territory
Where proof of identity and/or residency are required, documents must be
current and originals only.
Any documents in foreign languages must include a certified translation from either

person must provide full proof of identity if they do not hold an ACT Driver
Licence. Full proof of identity means a minimum of three identity documents. The
documents must include at least one Primary and one Secondary Document of
Identity. The third document can be either a Primary of Secondary Document of
Identity. Proof of Residency must be supplied as a fourth document, if not
already satisfied by the three identity documents.
At least one of the documents
must show a signature.
